After being surprisingly laid off, the 38-year-old is pushed out of his comfortable routines to confront a world he has long avoided. Forced to start anew, his personal journey leads to stronger friendships and a new perspective on the world around him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I&#8217;m thrilled to include this 2024 Pulitzer Prize-winning play in our 39th season, and to welcome this amazing group of artists to Hartford,\u201d said TheaterWorks Hartford Artistic Director Rob Ruggiero. \u201cAt its core, Primary Trust is a beautiful and simple story that delivers a powerful and authentic message. I believe it will resonate deeply with our audiences.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Written by American Actress and Playwright Eboni Booth, \u201cPrimary Trust\u201d transports audiences to rural New York, just outside of Rochester, in the 1990s. Booth explores themes of friendship and loneliness in this performance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Making their TheaterWorks Hartford debuts, the cast includes Justin Weaks as Kenneth, Samuel Stricklen as Bert, Hilary Ward as Corrina\/Wally\u2019s Waiter\/Bank Customers, and Ricardo Chavira as Clay\/Sam\/Le Pousselet Bartender. The performance is directed by Jennifer Chang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The creative team includes Nicholas Ponting on Set Design, Danielle Preston on Costume Design, Bryan Ealey on Lighting Design, Frederick Kennedy on Sound Design, Moira O\u2019Sullivan as the Associate Director, and Tom Kosis as the Stage Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Learn more about the performance and purchase tickets at <a href=\"https:\/\/twhartford.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">twhartford.org<\/a> or by calling the box office at 860-527-7838.
