During the 2022 state election, around 26% Hartford residents voted, with the state average being 58%. As Election Day quickly approaches, Scharrer shares about the Hispanic Health Council’s efforts to civically engage residents across Hartford.

“Our efforts for outreach have included voter education to community members and staff, social media campaigns, door-to-door canvassing, and sharing voter registration materials,” explained Sharrer.

The Hispanic Health Council has trained all of its staff to register eligible voters and engage in conversations with clients about voting, shared Sharrer.
