\nOver 150 Educators from around the state\u2019s colleges, high schools, middle schools, social service and state agencies are expected to attend the conference, along with over 20 volunteers and undocumented youth. <\/span>
\n“Moving from Knowledge to Action: An Educator Conf. on Undocumented Students” is being generously sponsored by Wesleyan University, United We Dream, The Community Foundation of Greater New Haven and the New Haven Promise.<\/span>
\nUndocumented students in Connecticut face a broad range of challenges. Only 5-10% of undocumented students go on to attend college after high school. However, there are both large and small steps that educators, schools, districts, and the state can take to make the educational climate better for undocumented students.<\/span>
\n\u00a0<\/span>Connecticut Students for a Dream is a youth-led statewide network fighting for the rights of undocumented youth and their families.<\/span><\/i>
