economic growth of the United States at the local and national level.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Forbes, by 2050, this community will represent 25-percent of the country&#8217;s overall is population, creating businesses at 15 times the national rate.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, how could it be that the only cities in Connecticut to make WalletHub&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/edu\/best-and-worst-cities-for-hispanic-entrepreneurs\/6491\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Best Cities for Hispanic Entrepreneurs<\/em><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/wallethub.com\/edu\/best-and-worst-cities-for-hispanic-entrepreneurs\/6491\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">,<\/a> are because they&#8217;re the worst?!<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New Haven and Bridgeport came in at No. 179 and 180, respectively in the study released in May.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> WalletHub\u2019s study used this methodology in determining the best cities for Hispanic entrepreneurs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bridgeport tied in the last place with five other cities, nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>182 cities surveyed<\/li><li>150 of the most populated U.S. cities<\/li><li>At least 2 of the most populated cities in each state for  <br \/>\u201cHispanic Business-Friendliness\u201d and \u201cHispanic Purchasing Power\u201d  <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida and Texas took top honors, dominating the top 10 cities for Hispanic entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laredo, Texas came in as #1?for the second year in a row!<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Source:
