The latinonewsnetwork.com\/ctln\/ (CTLN) and Latino Communities Reporting Lab<\/a> are enthusiastic to announce a new partnership that amplifies the voices of Connecticut’s local Latino communities.<\/p>\n\n\n

Collaboration between CTLN and the Record Journal’s Latino Communities Reporting Lab will foster storytelling that showcases Latino success and contributions, and sheds light on injustices and inequalities to foster greater understanding and a more inclusive community for all.<\/p>\n\n\n

“As the first English-speaking news and information source dedicated to Hispanics-Latinos throughout Connecticut, I am excited to add a new partner that shares CTLN\u2019s mission of elevating the visibility and voices of the community,” said Hugo Balta, owner, and publisher of Latino News Network (LNN)<\/a>. “We always strive to contribute by expanding an individual or organization consistent with this purpose.\u201d LNN owns CTLN, one of three individual websites serving New England Latinos.<\/p>\n\n\n

As a four-month-old initiative by a fifth-generation family-owned 154-year-old local news outlet, the Record Journal’s Latino Communities Reporting Lab has ambitious plans to engage central Connecticut’s local Latino community, where Latinos represent 29.1% of the area’s population, including 58.2% of Meriden students, and 8% of Wallingford’s population, including 19.6% of Wallingford students.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
