William Mendoza, Producer\/Director of the Latin Heartbeat Orchestra\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/episode\/6Qqf42RMuJdUP4YgRm7rmc?si=xkzMKiJbRPyltPHOXErOmg&#038;dl_branch=1&#038;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the podcast, &#8220;3 Questions With&#8230;,&#8221; he shared intimate details of stories like the one of his aging mother, a woman struggling with being alone after a lifetime devoted to her children and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My father was a hard working individual,&#8221; Mendoza said as he shared another story in his musical autobiography. <\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mi Padre Un Trabajador\u00a0is about how his father, forced to live in the streets of his native Puerto Rico after being orphaned, moved to the U.S. mainland to work in the Utah salt mines at 17-years-old before returning to the island and starting a family.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> &#8220;My father worked seven days a week,&#8221; said Mendoza of the person he calls his role model. &#8220;I needed to tell that story.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;EL Camino&#8221; is filled with stories of people and experiences that shaped Mendoza&#8217;s music and the person he is today.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In &#8220;3 Questions With\u2026,&#8221; he also shared insights about how Latino artists have shaped different genres of American music.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Latin Heartbeat Orchestra featured earlier this year on CTLN when the group performed a virtual concert as part of\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/states.aarp.org\/connecticut\/events-ct\">AARP&#8217;s Events for Connecticut<\/a>\u00a0series.
